Hortense is a Director in Baringa’s US Financial Services practice. She is based out of New York City where she assists clients in their Sustainability and Climate Risk journey. Hortense has led a range of risk management programs across Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk and Operational Resiliency. Prior to joining Baringa she developed and led the ESG and Climate Risk offering for the North American Digital Risk and Compliance practice of a leading strategy and consulting company. Her recent experience includes helping a US Global bank enhancing their climate risk plan: providing strategic advisory, building the climate risk target state and providing industry best practice and regulatory trends. She is also helped a large US Asset Manager implementing climate change scenario analysis capabilities to inform their first TCFD report. Hortense holds a GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk Certification.

Bruce M. Kahn, Ph.D.

Bruce is responsible for delivering technical advice to investors on MSCI’s Climate Solutions tools and data sets for investment decision making, risk management, reporting and engagement.  His previous work experience includes Climate Change Investment Research, Institutional Portfolio Management and Wealth Management, as well as E&S Risk assessments at firms such as Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Macquarie and SICM.  His work has covered various themes including clean tech, real estate, water, and agricultural-based investment strategies as well as ESG/SRI strategies.  He also serves as a Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation, and previously was a Member of the Board of the US SIF, Board Member and Treasurer of Confluence Philanthropy, and as a trustee and member of the finance committee of the Jesse Smith Noyes Foundation. Bruce earned a PhD in Land Resources from University of Wisconsin, Madison, an MS in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures from Auburn University, and a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut. Bruce served as an Agriculture Extension Agent in the United

Julie Mansfield is the Director of Customer Strategy for Jupiter Intelligence, the global leader in climate analytics for resilience and risk management. She collaborates internally to develop innovative product ideas and builds relationships with new and existing customers and partners. Julie also serves as a strategic lead for the Jupiter Promise initiative, Jupiter’s philanthropic organization that delivers high resolution physical climate risk data to under-resourced communities worldwide through strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Jupiter, Julie was a geoscience technical expert for a major integrated energy company where she developed and executed strategic growth campaigns for the company’s largest projects.­ She also served as a transformation leader, building strategic initiatives to drive culture change in a 65,000+ person company.

 

Gregg Anderson

Gregg Anderson is a Managing Director for Crowe LLP and has responsibilities for developing thought leadership and consulting tools leveraged throughout Crowe’s diverse client base.

Gregg has years of professional experience in risk, compliance, operational and technology consulting and applies his diverse program management expertise to assist clients in the development of Governance, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management and Sustainability programs. 

Gregg is a thought leader and frequent speaker on Governance, Risk Management and Compliance programs. He has published a variety of white papers around Sustainability Accounting and the ESG space and has served as Crowe’s Sustainability Subject Matter Expert for several years. Gregg is a participating member of the AICPA’s Sustainability Services Task Force and contributed towards the most recent AICPA and Center for Audit Quality’s ESG reporting and attestation roadmap for audit practitioners.  

Severino Renna

Severino Renna is a Senior Relationship Manager covering several of the MSCI’s largest Bank and Brokerage clients.

Severino returned to MSCI in 2012 from Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets where he lead the client coverage organization for RBC’s exchange traded and OTC clearing business.

Prior to RBC, Severino joined the RiskMetrics Group sales team from JP Morgan in 2000 covering the Bank and Broker Dealer client segment. He left RiskMetrics in 2004 to lead Citigroup's Prime Finance risk management and cross product margining capabilities.

Severino has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Seton Hall University.

Severino lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
